  1. 1
Electrical Safety & Working at Height

The safety foundation every ELV technician needs before going on site: electrical hazards and safe isolation, batteries and stored energy, ladders, towers and MEWPs, permits, PPE, and common site hazards such as asbestos and laser light.

  2. 2
    Structured Cabling Standards

Design, install, test, and document a structured cabling system that meets ANSI/TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801. Covers topology, copper categories, fibre types, pathways and spaces, installation practice, labelling, earthing, and certification testing.

  3. 3
    CCTV System Design & Installation

A practical, end-to-end course on video surveillance, IP and analog: choosing cameras and lenses to meet an operational requirement, powering and networking them, installing and fault-finding coax and HD-over-coax systems, sizing recording storage, and commissioning a secure, maintainable system.

  4. 4
    Uniview (UNV) CCTV Systems

Product training for our main CCTV platform. Learn how to install UNV cameras with the right brackets and junction boxes, and the Uniview IP and analog range (cameras, NVRs, and XVRs), the imaging and storage technologies behind it (LightHunter, ColorHunter, Tri-Guard, Ultra 265 / U-Code 2.0, UBS), and how to deploy, search, share, and maintain a UNV system with EZTools, UniTools Pro, EZCloud, UniEase, EZStation, and UNV Guard.

  5. 5
Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDA)

Understand, design, install, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems. Covers detection principles, conventional and addressable panels, system categories and zoning, circuit classes and cabling, battery calculations, cause-and-effect, and inspection and testing to NFPA 72, BS 5839-1, and EN 54.

  6. 6
    Auxiliary ELV Systems

The other extra-low-voltage systems that make a building secure, connected, and safe: access control, intruder and perimeter alarms, intercom and door entry, public address and voice alarm, MATV/IPTV distribution, and integrating them all through a building management platform.

  7. 7
    Vendor Platforms Primer

A practical introduction to the manufacturer ecosystems ELV technicians meet most: Hikvision and Dahua CCTV tools, addressable fire alarm panel families and loop protocols, nurse call vendor systems, and IP PBX platforms such as Yeastar, Grandstream, and 3CX. Learn the common workflow for any vendor, and the procurement and accreditation issues to check before you install.
