About this course

Product training for our main CCTV platform. Learn how to install UNV cameras with the right brackets and junction boxes, and the Uniview IP and analog range (cameras, NVRs, and XVRs), the imaging and storage technologies behind it (LightHunter, ColorHunter, Tri-Guard, Ultra 265 / U-Code 2.0, UBS), and how to deploy, search, share, and maintain a UNV system with EZTools, UniTools Pro, EZCloud, UniEase, EZStation, and UNV Guard.

What you will be able to do

  • Choose the right UNV camera and NVR series for a project
  • Select UNV brackets, junction boxes, and glands, and install turrets, domes, bullets, PTZs, NVRs, and XVRs correctly
  • Explain LightHunter, ColorHunter, Smart Dual Light, and Tri-Guard to a client
  • Size storage realistically with Ultra 265 / U-Code 2.0
  • Activate, configure, and batch-upgrade devices with EZTools and UniTools Pro
  • Set up smart events (SIP) and find footage fast with AcuSearch
  • Install Dolphin and Whale analog cameras with UNV XVRs, including PoC, coax audio, and XVR smart features
  • Give clients secure remote access with EZCloud and UniEase, and hand over a maintainable system

Practical sign-off

Hands-on tasks a supervisor must watch you complete and sign off before your certificate is issued.

    Install a UNV turret or dome on its junction box

    Template, cable entry, RJ45 with waterproof kit, 3-axis aiming, remote zoom/focus, day and night check.

    Install a UNV bullet on a pole or corner mount

    Correct pole/corner mount plus junction box, stainless straps, cable gland, drip loop, surge protection.

  • 3

    Activate and batch-configure UNV cameras with EZTools

    Strong passwords, IP addresses to the schedule, NTP, and firmware to the approved version.

  • 4

    Set up a UNV NVR end to end

    Disks, cameras added and named, Ultra 265 enabled, recording schedules, and retention verified.

  • 5

    Configure and night-test a SIP rule

    Cross line or intrusion with human/vehicle filter, arming schedule, and linked action.

  • 6

    Install and commission UNV analog cameras on an XVR

    Correct coax termination, TVI format set, Smart Dual Light and audio verified, XVR smart channels assigned.

  • 7

    Give a client secure app access with EZCloud and UniEase

    Client-owned account, limited user rights or sharing, and a walkthrough of arming, playback, and alarms.
