What does ELV mean?

ELV stands for Extra-Low Voltage. It covers the building systems that run on safe, low voltages (below 50 V AC or 120 V DC) rather than mains power.

Depending on where you work, the same systems are also called auxiliary systems, low-voltage (LV) systems, low-current systems, or special systems. They all mean the same thing, and this academy covers them all.
