Permits and briefing
- Permit to work issued where required (hot works, isolations, roof access)
- Risk assessment and method statement read and signed
- Site induction completed; emergency procedures known
Electrical
- Isolation points identified; lock-out / tag-out applied
- Voltage indicator proved on a known source before and after testing
- Circuit proven dead before work
Access and equipment
- Ladders, steps, and platforms inspected; correct for the task
- Harness and lanyard inspected where working at height requires it
- Exclusion zone below overhead work
- PPE: safety footwear, glasses, gloves, hard hat as required
- Fibre scraps container and dark work mat for fibre work
